Regarding the 2024-25 Budget: there are a number of critical repairs that need to be performed to keep the pool running, both this year and in years to come. This resulted in the introduction of a maintenance fee that must be paid for all non-Donation memberships as a prerequisite for purchasing a membership. Maintenance fee periods are 3 years, and can be paid in one lump sum or annually. The maintenance fee for the 2024-2027 period is:
$734 for full memberships, if paid in full in the 2024-25 season
$315/year for full memberships, if paid annually
$100/year for non-PVRA households who join for the swim team
The improvements we intend to make during this maintenance period include (at a minimum):
Resurfacing the pool to eliminate cracks and hollow spots in the plaster ($53,800)
Replacing the pool pump ($7,500)
Replacing the two filters that are due for replacement ($7,750)
Purchasing a cover for the pool to avoid draining, acid washing, and refilling the pool every year ($15-20k)
Repaving the parking lot ($30k-$60k)
