Board Roles
President
Preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and the Association
See that orders and resolutions of the Board are carried out
Sign all leases, mortgages, deeds and other written instruments
Cosign all checks and promissory notes, along with such other persons as designated by the Board of Directors.
Vice-President
Act in the place of the president in the event of his absence.
Perform other duties as may be required by the Board.
Secretary
Record the votes and keep the minutes of all meetings and proceedings of the Board and of the members.
Serve notice of meetings of the Board and of the members.
Keep appropriate, current records showing the members of the Association together with their address.
Perform other duties as required by the Board.
Treasurer
Receive and deposit in appropriate bank accounts all monies of the Association.
Disburse such funds as directed by resolution of the Board of Directors
Keep proper books of account.
Cause an annual audit of the Association books to be made by a qualified entity independent of the Board of Directors at the completion of each fiscal year.
Prepare an annual budget and a statement of income and expenditures to be presented to the membership at its regular annual meeting.
Perform other duties as required by the Board.
Membership
Regulate and confirm membership in accordance with these By‑laws.
Establish membership criteria for potential Pleasant Valley Recreation Association members not holding title to property within Pleasant Valley Subdivision.
Administer membership affairs of the Association.
Establish membership budget.
Perform other duties as required by the Board.
Operations
Establish rules and regulations for common areas.
Establish an operating budget.
Settle disputes relating to common areas and recommend disciplinary action for violations.
Provide for maintenance of facilities.
Coordinate volunteer efforts.
Provide for security.
Perform other duties as required by the Board.
