Biography

Julie Zanotti

I've lived in Pleasant Valley since summer 2005 (with a 1 year stint in Berlin, Germany 2007-2008). I am a stay-at-home mom with 4 kids (11, 9, 7 and 3yrs). I am currently on the Boy Scout Committee for unit #1826. I serve in my church, and in the schools my kids attend (Virginia Run and Bull Run). I volunteer with the swim team (concessions and fundraising).  I have also been serving as an interim PVRA Board member this summer as Event Coordinator.  I believe in making a difference in the community in which I live. My degree is in English Literature with a minor in Business. In another life (prior to kids) I worked as an Office Manager/Operations Manager at several large companies including Fluor Engineering Corp, Harvard University (JFK School of Government), IBM, and IRAD 3-D Animation. I've done everything from recruiting and hiring, human resources, website design, training development, research and writing, seminar planning, accounting, marketing, client relations, purchasing, and anything else related to running and maintaining an office. If elected, I will do my best to serve the pool community.

Keith Allman

I am interested in running for a position on the board. I believe that I can bring new ideas and possible solutions to the difficult economic situations that PVRA faces today. Pleasant Valley homeowner since 1983. Pleasant Valley pool charter member since 1985. Fairfax County resident for 50 years. Current employer: Giant Food - General Manager for 25 years. Spouse: Mary. Daughter: Stacey. Thank you for your consideration.

Doc King

I am interested in entering my name for a position on the pool board. I have lived in the Pleasant Valley community for almost 19 years, and have been an active member of the pool for 5+ years. I feel that my leadership experience both in the military and in the DOD would be beneficial as a member of the pool board. Thank you for your consideration.

Michael (Mike) Graham

Mike, his wife Margaret and his two children, Sam 10, and Isabella, 6 have lived in PV since 2002. Isabella was actually born in Fairfax hospital and PV has been her home since 2003. The rest of the family is originally from New York although Mike spent a good deal of time in Raleigh, North Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia. Mike has been in Supply Chain Management for 16 years and is currently employed in the Facilities Department of George Mason University as the Materials Manager. Mike oversees the procurement and inventory control of Maintenance, Repair and Operations goods, materials and services for the University. Mike likes to spend time with his family, enjoys pool and neighborhood events and activities and plays music part time in a group with some co-workers whenever he can. Mike served on the pool board during the 2006-2008 seasons and welcomes the opportunity to once again serve the neighborhood as a member of the PVRA Board.

Angela Merino

PVRA Treasurer since 2008. Resident Pleasant Valley with husband JC & two children.
